Youth Scholarship
Initiative Committee
The Youth Scholarship Committee is dedicated to awarding two scholarships annually to LGBTQIA2S+ students who
attend one of the five public Cape May County high schools: Cape May County Technical, Lower Township, Middle
Township, Ocean City, and Wildwood.

What activities, events, or projects does the Youth Scholarship Initiative Committee oversee?

Managing outreach efforts to increase participation

Reviewing all applications, including transcripts, test scores, essay, resume and recommendations

Working together with other committee members to reach consensus.​

Coordinating with local schools

Who would benefit most from joining Youth Scholarship Initiative Committee?

Individuals who are passionate and knowledgeable about LGBTQIA2S+ issues

Those who are available to commit to volunteering within a scheduled time period, particularly early April through mid May

Volunteers who are able to work independently and also work together as a team

Those who want to support local LGBTQIA2S+ students in their educational growth and futures
